How theTOUR fantasy golf league works

Everything you need to know about points, flags, and league structure

๐Ÿ“‹ League Structure

  • Teams: 20 total teams in the league
  • Events: Weekly events throughout the PGA Tour season
  • Entry: Optional - enter any event you want
  • Lineup: 6 golfers with a $50,000 salary cap
  • Scoring: Season-long points competition based on finish position

โ›ณ Event Types

Points awarded vary by event type. There are five categories:

Standard EventsSignature EventsMajors / The PlayersPlayoff EventstheCHAMPIONSHIP

Playoff Events (FedEx St. Jude Championship & BMW Championship) pay double major points โ€” adopted 2026, mirroring the PGA Tour's playoff points change. Not to be confused with the tie-for-1st "playoff" below. theCHAMPIONSHIP, the season finale at East Lake, awards no points and no flags โ€” it decides the title and the final 1โ€“5 order instead.

๐Ÿ“Š Points Distribution

Points awarded to top 5 finishers (6th place and below receive 0 points):

theCHAMPIONSHIP is not in this table because it awards 0 points at every position โ€” the points column is final the moment the BMW Championship is processed.

๐Ÿ”— Tiebreakers

When teams tie for a position, points are averaged across the tied positions (same method as FedEx Cup). Flag tiebreakers depend on which position is tied.

Points Averaging

Example: Three teams tie for 2nd place in a Standard Event

  • Add points for 2nd + 3rd + 4th: 300 + 190 + 135 = 625
  • Divide by 3: 625 / 3 = 208.33
  • Each tied team receives 208.33 points

โš ๏ธ Tie for 1st Place โ†’ Playoff

When two teams tie for 1st place, a playoff determines the winner. The playoff is decided by comparing scores in Round 1 of the next event.

  • Points (during playoff): Both tied teams receive 2nd place points (locked in minimum)
  • Points (after resolved): Winner gets the difference between 1st and 2nd added
  • Example: Standard event - both start at 300 pts. Winner gets +200 = 500 total
  • Flags: Held pending until the playoff resolves
  • Winner: Receives 1st place flags (4th-13th send)
  • Loser: Receives 2nd place flags (14th-18th send, if field โ‰ฅ 14)

โœ“ Tie for 2nd or 3rd Place โ†’ Split Flags

When teams tie for 2nd or 3rd place, the flags are split among the tied members.

  • Even senders: Split flags evenly among tied members
  • Odd senders: One sender splits their flags 50/50 between the tied members

๐Ÿ† theCHAMPIONSHIP

The season finale at East Lake. The top 5 in the standings after the BMW Championship qualify; everyone else is done for the season.

โœ“ What it awards, and what it decides

  • Points: none โ€” 0 at every position, so the points column is final the moment the BMW is processed
  • Flags: none โ€” no money moves at theCHAMPIONSHIP
  • Rankings: excluded from CWGR and SWGR entirely
  • The finish order IS the final placing: where the five finish in the event is where they finish the season, 1st through 5th. The winner takes the title.
  • Fewer points than 2nd? Possible, and correct โ€” no points are awarded here, so the champion can end the season behind on points. That is the format, not a mistake.
  • 6th and below: unchanged โ€” they finish where the points left them
  • Lineups: drafted live, 6 golfers each, no salary cap. 5 members ร— 6 rounds = 30 picks, and the field is 30 men โ€” every golfer gets drafted.
  • Ties: any tie, for the title or for any other place, is settled by a ruling from the Founder/Full-Owner/CEO. Until a title tie is ruled, the standings hold in points order.

  • No Splitting: Each player sends to one person
